Senses are said to be the physiological capacities within organisms that provide inputs for perception. Blessed with all the five human senses. A man today stands gathering the results of all those. He is blessed with a mind that thinks, worries and anticipates all that can be of concern for him. He needs to survive. To provide for all those who look up to him for provision. His senses are occupied with thought of money. A basic need that drives him from one end to the other. Presiding over him is the five headed serpent. The epitomized ‘Sheshnag’ that tries to lull him to the eternal sleep─ his destiny. The destiny occupies his five senses. Distorting them not in nature but in appearance. The man we witness now is devoid of superficial beautification. His mind peeping into nooks and crannies for wealth that he wants to gather for himself and others. He is fore ever more calculative. He is lonely. Distanced from the rest of his surroundings. He stands bewildered amidst every calling. His mind is perplexed. His senses distorted…changing into scenes of momentary wants, disillusions and craving. His senses are no longer pure. They are a murky mix of lost self, duties, responsibilities ─ all of which come and go as fleeting scenes of his existing life. He is today blesses with not five senses..but what have modified into being the much concocted SCENCES. My paintings come from feelings, the content of which might try to reach out to the roots of both my existence and that of us and find a way to expression in a manner that can be understood with simplicity but not much ignorance of insight.
