Being, the existence of anyone exists through ones retort to the being of the world around. Some subsume their existence with the surrounds, some do so by marking the traces of around on the selves. One might see the self in the world, here the world is explored through the self referentials. Every day of life, every experience, though being very general becomes an important aspect to concept, as it refers to the contemporary living of someone. The emotions attached to every action, response given to each new experience, though it may be very common, yet very initial, marks a time span of the individual being, and many such beings which form the periods. I see the world through my eyes, my pleasures and displeasures, the world around forms itself around myself. As I had done my bachelors in Painting and masters in Print making which have really helped me to explored different mediums. Started up working with traditional techniques further I involved new media such as digital print in my work and tried to explore the possibilities involved in working with two completely different mediums-one that has been used over centuries and another which is relatively new. After seeing the result which was quite satisfactory I further plan to work on it. Presently I am enjoying the process of working with watercolour and mixed medias. The recent works “Cherry blossom”, “Me & Red” I had varied with different mediums which includes pen work, watercolour, stiching, collage, beads, rice paper.. and I had also made a paper sculpture(a installation) “A cloud floated down from red land” first taken digital print on paper and then made 3-d paper buildings of different sizes out of it and created the form of a cloud. The installation “A cloud floated down from red land” centered on the concept of feelings surrounded with social blocks. The floating clouds over the building creating a weather of love. Clouds represent transition and transformation. Cloud also can produce in different forms. Its about how one is reacting towards your feeling by taking different forms. In my works one can see the inner world, prespectives and aspirations which I reveal by insert simple objects such as train, flowers, numbers, buildings, writings, clouds to convey them. By using simplicity and minimal elements in my works I convey my experiences. I also use writings and elements repetition which becomes pattern. The elements such as floating clouds which are the fleeting personas; those of mine and the people around, who are present yet unstable. Later they become balloons, flying above as I look at them, climb to them and transit, to another environment, where adjusting takes both space and time. The buildings from being forms slowly turn into ‘social’ blocks. The red thread represting stability and instability of relation and a dichotomy of bondange and freedom. The rose symbolizes love and tenderness. Presently my works are based on identity and belongings. How a woman born and brought to a place and people around and how all sourrounding changes when she got married. My earlier dreams, visions and fanatasies laced with irony. There is always a question inside “where I belong too..”
