White and black and things between that.

My art practice mainly aims to explore the realm of painting and sculpture. Simplification of forms into vertical and horizontal lines to represent two major force driving us as human. We are filled with many emotions which gives birth to expressions. These expressions are intertwined with our experience, mood, motivation and temptation. As artists we have the awareness to explore our innermost thoughts and understand ourselves with respect to the present situations.

Colors produce very intense reactions. Every color holds some emotional feeling. In any art practice, colors sometime dictate the story. In my art work, I want to detach these venerable feelings into more elementary colors. On one side of the realm where a color can stimulate all three types of color receptive cell in equal proportion to produce white color and on the other hand a color which completely absorbs light and the darkest color form, black. Achromatic colors have direct effect on eyes.

Both above mentioned idea are the base of my art practice. Together it reflects the deepest thoughts. A painting can represent the complex emotions but as an artist living in a fast growing society, greed has taken far more prominent place. We want to run the race like Usain Bolt but we are losing our path. Narcissistic society climbing on each other to see the ray of light and giving away the most basic values. Living in the same situation and contradicting themselves. Competing to achieve the greatness and to prove to the society that simplest object or act can have the deepest impartation on us.

Art cannot change the way we are going but it has such a strong imprint on our thinking. Provocation can be achieved by the most minimal gesture and this is what I am trying to achieve through my art wokrs.
