"Dulhan HI Dahej Hai' is about the dowry system. This is happening all over India in different ways. When we listen about dowry (dahej) first thing comes in our mind is that the groom's side
will be demanding for dowry, but for this both sides are responsible. In some areas, it is given but not shows to everyone. In my hometown, people show all the things of dowery to everyone. On the wedding day, they decorate all the things as everyone can see as
shown in my work. They also make a list of all items including cash and announce it in front of all relatives, guests.
Baarati brinks truck to take dowry and there is a line written on most of the trucks is "Dulhan Hi Dahej Hai".
