Nowadays the water crisis is everywhere. Water is the most necessary element for living. But we, humans, have almost finished the groundwater resource. I am trying to show the complexity of getting 'drinking water' by tangled water pipes in this painting.
Subarna Adhikary is an Indian contemporary artist interested in visual arts since his childhood. At first, it was not decided that he would choose it as a profession. As he grew up, he came into this field despite the reluctance of his parents. All of his scribbles were praised by his grandma. Currently, he is studying a bachelor degree in painting at Rabindra Bharati University in India. He has experimented with a different medium like watercolour, tempera, soft pastel, oil pastel, oil paint, relief painting in woodcut and linocut, etching, serigraphy, mix media. Recently he has created many artworks by using Gouache medium and going to explore acrylic medium also. Most of his artworks are hugely inspired by Indian miniature painting. He is also enchanted by the colour palette of Ajanta murals. We find a great impact of surrealism in his artworks. He always tries to erupt some social messages and story of a daily journey to his paintings. All of his works are combinations of his dream and reality as an expression of philosophical movement.
