the mood is captured of being inside the house when it's raining outside.
Rashmi has grown up living with a multifarious community in a township in Gujarat. Having grown up far away from the city and in wonderfully planned green surroundings, her love of the outdoors grew tremendously. Throughout her life, Rashmi has always been fascinated by images and how the world is represented through the eyes of others. Naturally, she was drawn to painting. The interest was cultivated during her teenage years and further developed when she opted to take her Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
After completing her degree, Rashmi traveled for 2 years in her own country to explore her identity. The visuals, that Rashmi takes on her walks in the landscape, are only part of the narrative. She uses the practice of painting from the memory from her travels. It is a collaboration between the artist and the land. Rashmi cherishes this connection with nature. She feels that the artistic exchange between the land and the artist opens up many opportunities.
Rashmi has also trained as an Architect, specializing in Interior designing. Her interest in combining designing and art makes her style unique. The holistic way of taking any project to her utmost potential makes her a good professional.
Rashmi lives and works in Baroda, surrounded by the beautiful heritage buildings in town.
