The abundant wondrous abode of nature, where we bask in the surreal splendor that surrounds us.
Mandira's artistic aspiration began at an early age, by watching her father, also an artist. Growing up, life was a riot of color and textures while she learnt to appreciate art and create from a very early age, it was only when faced with challenges of life did her ability actually come to the fore. To rise above the commonplace, trivialities and petty worries of her daily life lead her to seeking different truths and art forms. While on this journey, and a little push from her mother, she met one of the master Tanjore Art craftsmen and it was through this medium that she found an outlet to demonstrate her deep faith and love of God. While she continued to experiment to find her voice in art, she chanced upon ink, on paper. Inspired by nature and its beauty, for her it’s the small things that matter in this vast circle of life. It is her endeavor not to recreate a moment but capture and depict it in all its glory. The beauty she choses to see around her has been both her strength and her muse. She has participated in select group shows at the Art Spaces and Galleries of Austin, Texas and also raised funds through her art for various causes in Texas and India.
