Lately a lot of Ram Kumar’s artworks have been a source of my inspiration. His use of celestial color palates with a blend of earthy colors, have really grabbed my attention. Inspired by Ram Kumar’s colour palate, and my garden, Rosegold is an amalgamation of what I see, and how I feel. When I step out in my garden, the heavenly sky merges with the evergreen flowers, making the entire scene feel surreal.
I am Savya Jain, an abstract artist from New Delhi, India. Fluid abstract is a style that I have developed and explored in my practice. After finishing my graduation, I realized my passion for painting. Inspired by nature and fashion around me; I decided to amalgamate both into creating paintings which are unique and interesting. “When I travel, I bring back with me one memory which I have to paint. The colors, the smells, the weather, the emotions that I feel at that time become the center of my canvas”.
For me, it is the beauty in the simplest of things that inspire me. I believe that every aspect of life; the good & bad are part of everyone’s journey, a journey I convey through my art. I believe in bringing the passion I feel towards my art into people’s lives.
Having surrounded myself with greenery for a large part of my life, I have taken inspiration from natural textures. The bounciness of moss on the strong trunk of a tree or the peeling of aged paint on an already weathered wall; nature is an aphrodisiac to my imagination and a healer to my emotions. I have a weakness for picturesque landscapes and the need to immerse myself into it, this reflects in my work. Long after a moment has passed, I can travel back in time through my paintings.
My art also focuses on constantly using innovative processes to bring my art together, just like a puzzle finding its missing piece. Specializing in acrylic & oil painting, I am constantly experimenting with new methods and mediums to not only provide my client with a unique artwork, but also a unique experience. As an artist, I tend to celebrate the medium, it is an integral part of my journey to a finished product. This school of thought has allowed me to dabble with mixed media to convey my thoughts.
