Gurvinder Osahn

Greetings, Myself Gurvinder Osahn.

I have 28 years of experience in various field of arts and I mostly worked as freelancer.

From 1985 to 1993, I worked as commercial artist/designer/sculptor and illustrator in some ad agencies, publishing house and interior design product studios. Designing and clay modeling for moulds and patterns for sculptural base in fiber glass or cast aluminium etc for centre/dining tables etc. with glass top and statues, pillars, mirrors and indoor fountains etc in polystone/metal etc.

Participated in exhibitions of fine arts (As a sculptor) held by Sahitya Kala Prishad Annual art exhibition 1985 to 1990 and received Best Sculpture award by Sahitya Kala Prishad - Yuva Mahotsava (1986-1987). I also participated in private group shows in 1986 and 1990, annual exhibition of Lalit Kala Academy in 1987 and annual exhibition of AIFACS in 1989.

I had worked in collection with Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, New Delhi; Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi, AIFACS; Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi and private collections with various art lovers in Delhi, Mumbai, Ludhiana, Chandigarh and UK.

I am an artsit of various qualities and have been working since last 28 years including 10 years (1993-2003) of handling joint family business of manufacturing machinery parts and metal fabrication due to some unavoidable circumstances.

But fortunately, Doing my family business, I learnt a lot about metal cutting, bending, welding, blacksmith techniques etc while working in the workshop, and this technical experience has helped me a lot in manual mechanical drawings of engineering, products and their structural, textural aspects and 3D perspective as well.

Some innate technical skills I had is a mind responsive to science, and above all a heart full of love for this existence and its beauty. So, I recently decided to take my technical skills in my sculptural expressions as a path towards self realization.
